HOW TO MAKE YOUR STAINLESS STEELSHINE AGAIN

Our beloved and frequently used stainless steel cookware, the perfect partner in the kitchen, can sometimes show special effects after daily use. Some of our favourite stainless steel collections? Maestro, Chef, Cicla, ... We aim to keep them shining like bright stars.

  • Spotting white dots on your stainless steel cookware?
It seems like residue from stuck-on starch. Cleaning with Vinegar: Mix equal parts of water and vinegar in the pot or pan and let it simmer for a few minutes. Then, scrub the affected areas with a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry completely.

  • Discoloured stainless steel cookware?
Start by soaking your pot or pan with hot water and soap. Then, wipe it down with a sponge. Now, use some stainless steel cleaner and give it a good scrub until the pan looks great again. Finish by rinsing and drying it completely.

  • Burnt pan?
Fortunately, there's a simple and effective method to fix this. Fill your pan with a mixture of vinegar and, if needed, some baking soda. Let this mixture sit for about 15 minutes. This combination will help dissolve stubborn fats and food residues. After this waiting period, use steel wool to gently scrub away the remains. You'll find that the residues will come off much more easily.

FRESH START WITH NATURAL MATERIALS AND COATINGS

BEKA is expanding its eco-friendly cookware range transitioning to completely PFAS-free collections. We also offer various natural materials that have or develop their natural non-stick coating. Which collections are we talking about? Artist and Nomad are made from natural materials, and Stark, for example, is made from uncoated cast iron, so we're talking about pure materials. Carbon steel and cast iron cookware just need a little extra care every now and then, and what better time than spring cleaning?

  • Restore rusted cookware
Possible causes to avoid in the future include the pan not being completely dry or being stored in a damp environment. Fortunately, rust can easily be removed with vinegar. After soaking in vinegar, gently scrub off the rust with an abrasive sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Natural coating doesn’t look good anymore?
