Nomad pans are made from carbon steel, which is the perfect choice for those wishing to cook and fry with cookware that is not only high-quality but also healthy. By seasoning your pan you create a healthy and natural non-stick layer, allowing your food to slide off easily. This natural patina layer just gets better and better, the more you use it. The blacker the pan, the better the non-stick properties!

SEASONING IS NECESSARY BEFORE FIRST USE

Seasoning your pan is so easy! Follow these steps to create your own healthy non-stick coating:

SEASONING INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1: CLEAN THE PAN

Clean the pan in warm water with a small amount of detergent.
Rinse and dry completely to prevent rusting.

STEP 2 : ADD A DROP OF OIL

Pour a thin layer (approx. 1 mm) of oil into the pan and heat at a medium temperature.
Gently rotate the pan allowing the oil to spread evenly.

 

STEP 3: RUB IT IN 

Once the oil starts to smoke, use a cloth or paper towel to rub the oil all the way up to the rim of the pan until all remaining is gone. The pan will gradually discolour.

The darker the colour, the better the non-stick layer.

STEP 4 : COOL DOWN

Remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool down completely.
Clean the cold pan with warm water and dry thoroughly.
